Hello from London!

May you be surrounded by the ones you love. I will soon be home with my family too, which is always a great joy for me.

I played 55 shows this year, if you include one I recorded in Chicago at the end of 2016 for PBS, to be aired sometime in the first quarter of 2018.

Many of you have been asking how my home is doing due to the horrific fires in Ventura County. I put off answering that question till I knew the answer.

I had already left for England before the fires became a threat to the central coast, but a few days ago my family did have to evacuate. It’s been pretty scary, but everyone is fine and out of the smoke.

Many others weren’t so lucky, and my friends are organizing a benefit concert for the many folks in Ventura who lost their homes. More information about that when they lock down the details.
