The eagle is held sacred by many traditions, and has long been the symbol of honor, bravery, wisdom, love, friendship and mystical powers for the Indian Nations.  It teaches us to follow our true path -- that which is really meant to be happening in our life for the greater good.

According to the Haudensaunee people, one of the great native tribes of America's East Coast, the eagle was called Principle Messenger of the Creator, realizing that "Eagles fly the highest of all living beings (symbolically close to spirit) and have the eyesight that can see into the soul."
