Valley Center 2006
First of all I would like to say I have been a Kenny Loggins fan since the beginning of Loggins and Messina.
My husband and I had never been to Harrah's Rincon before. When we first drove in I recognized the Redwoods concert playing up on the Marquee. We went in, got our tickets and found our Fan Club seats - 7th row center! They were really good seats.
I did not keep track of the set list but there was a nice mixture of songs -- the classics, House at Pooh Corner, Danny's Song and Your Mamma Don't Dance. He told the story of Sony not being his record label any more and selling his It's About Time CD from his Pick-up truck out front. Then he played I Miss Us. He told us he'd spent a few days in Nashville working on some songs and then played How about Now, a new song with a country feel from his upcoming CD. There were two encores and they ended with Forever.
We were lucky enough to have won meet and greet passes from the Fan Club. We were in the second group to meet Kenny. My husband and I both shook his hand. (As our son puts it you have to shake the hand of the master of Danger Zone.) Someone was taking pictures, so we had our picture taken with Kenny for the fan club and then since I brought my camera they took a picture with it for me too.
I would like to thank the Fan Club for the great seats and for the chance of a lifetime to meet Kenny, whose music has been in our lives and our childrens' lives for so many years. - MaryMc
